It is natural to feel afraid of talking in front of a large audience. But the important thing is not letting the fear conquer your mind. We must always remember that challenges always help in bringing out the best in us.

By refusing to not speak before a large gathering simply because of anxiety and nervousness would be equivalent to behaving like an escapist.

So, if you have been assigned to deliver a speech in couple of days then you should be happy to learn that you would soon be getting rid of your fear forever.

It is important to collect as much information as you can about your subject. It is also important to understand your subject well.

That is because only when you are clear about the subject will you be able to engage the audience enough in your speech. If you are worried about forgetting your lines on looking at the audience, the best thing would be talking in front of the mirror.

This will not just make you more confident but you will also know how you will appear while talking.

Remember, to have extra material ready as back-up in case you forget your original matter. It is better to be prepared than not knowing what to say on completely forgetting your original speech.

Be extremely positive. Be sure of your abilities and keep telling yourself that no matter what you will do a terrific job.

This will stimulate more confidence in you. Stop practicing an hour or thirty minutes before your speech. Simply relax.
